Arielle Bensimon graduated summa cum laude from Cornell University in 2007 with majors in Economics, English, and Government. Following graduation, Arielle spent four years at the economic consulting firm Analysis Group in Boston, where she acted as project manager on a variety of studies evaluating the clinical and economic outcomes of pharmaceuticals. She also helped lead the design and implementation of cost-effectiveness and budget impact models, and assisted the development of regulatory submissions to the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence in the UK. Arielle entered the PhD Program in Health Policy in the fall of 2011 as an Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality trainee. Over the next year, she plans to assist with an examination of childhood vaccination patterns under ACA-mandated preventive care benefits, and with a microsimulation model to explore the long-term effects of insurance coverage expansions on diabetes-related health disparities.
