Tone Enden, MD PhD, and a radiologist at Oslo University Hospital (OUH) visited CHDS during her 2-year post-doc fellowship from the Norwegian Research Council (2011-2013). In 2010 she defended her PhD thesis on clinical research regarding diagnosis and treatment of venous thrombosis, including MRI venography, quality of life and thrombolytic therapy. She is the principal investigator of the CaVenT study, an RCT for the evaluation of additional catheter-directed thrombolysis for deep vein thrombosis. The economic evaluation of this treatment was the main focus of her post-doc research. Her main clinical interest is within interventional and chest radiology. Her current research activity focuses on the long-term results of venous thrombolysis, and she heads the OUH research group for quality of life and health economy.
