Jane J. Kim
Jane J. Kim, MS, PhD, is the Dean for Academic Affairs at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and K.T. Li Professor of Health Economics in the Department of Health Policy and Management. Dr. Kim’s research focuses on the development and application of mathematical modeling methods to evaluate health policy issues, with a strong interest in women’s health. She has led the evaluation of the cost-effectiveness of prevention strategies against cervical cancer and other HPV-related diseases for informed decision making globally, working closely with the National Cancer Institute, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the World Health Organization, and most recently, the US Preventive Services Task Force on cervical cancer screening guidelines. Her methodological interests include capitalizing on different methods of operations research to inform health decision-making in low-resource settings, such as packaging health services at opportune moments and quantifying the impact of budget and human resource constraints on program effectiveness. She holds an MS and PhD from Harvard University.
