CHDS welcomes Jenna Rogers and Jacob Jameson, new students in the PhD Program in Health Policy decision science track, beginning Fall 2022.
Jenna Rogers graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia with a BS in Psychology and Statistics in 2022. During her time at University of Missouri, she won the Lee B. Lusted Student Prize from the Society in Medical Decision Making in 2021 for her work within the Quantitative Psychology Department. In that department, she worked in the Medical Decision Research Lab where she studied the psychological predictors of vaccination intention against COVID-19. She hopes to work at the intersection between psychology and healthcare to better understand how behavioral motivation is essential in the development of effective health policy.
Jacob Jameson received an MS from the University of Chicago in Computational Analysis and Public Policy. While pursuing his masters, he received mentorship from Professor David Meltzer and worked with him on a project involving the implications of a “Comprehensive Care Program.” Prior to joining the PhD program, his work included teaching mathematics as a Teach for America Corps member and wrote middle and elementary school mathematics curriculum. His current research interests include the applications of methods in operations research and machine learning to inform healthcare decision-making.
