Executive/Continuing Education Risk Analysis Course

Headshot of James Hammitt.

On March 9-12, 2020, Professor James Hammitt will direct his annual, 4-day course: Environmental Health Risk: Analysis and Applications. Offered through the Executive and Continuing Professional Education program, the course uses case studies, lectures, and small-group work to explore the principles of risk assessment, risk management, and risk communication in the context of regulatory decision making.

The course draws participants from diverse backgrounds, functions, and organizations, with over 30% of alumni coming from outside the United States, representing more than 30 different countries.  As the public becomes increasingly concerned about how their health is impacted by environmental hazards, it is crucial for health organizations, governments, and private companies to use risk analysis to protect public health.
