Operations Management in Healthcare Handbook

Headshot of Joe Pliskin.

Joseph Pliskin, Adjunct Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management and Professor Emeritus at Ben-Gurion University, published The Hospital and Clinic Improvement Handbook with co-authors Boaz Ronen and Shimeon Pass.

With the subtitle “Using Lean and the Theory of Constraints to Improve Healthcare”, the book provides a practical guide to leveraging operations management to improve value and performance. The book draws on the authors’ decades of experience applying these constructs to institutions worldwide. It is highly relevant to current directions in US healthcare institutions toward more value-focus cost-effectiveness.
