We proudly announce CHDS affiliated faculty members’ recognition for their outstanding work in medical decision making. The Society for Medical Decision Making awarded Myriam Hunink, Professor of Clinical Epidemiology and Radiology at the Erasmus University Medical Center and Adjunct Professor at HSPH, the Career Achievement Award. The award recognizes distinguished senior investigators who have made significant contributions to the field of medical decision making.
Lisa Prosser, Professor of Pediatrics and Communicable Diseases at the University of Michigan, was awarded the John M. Eisenberg Award for Practical Application of Medical Decision Making Research. The award recognizes an individual or organization that has demonstrated sustained leadership in translating medical decision making research into practice, and has taken exceptional steps to communicate the principles and/or substantive findings of medical decision making research to policy makers, clinical decision makers, and the general public.
The awards were announced at the 40th Annual North America Meeting of SMDM, held in Montreal, Canada in October.
