CHDS Media Hub lead Jake Waxman attended the Harvard Video Multimedia Group’s recent meeting, Studios across Harvard with CHDS coordinator Christina Forte and collaborator Camilla Finlay from the Global Health Education and Learning Incubator. The Video Multimedia Group is a Harvard-wide initiative that brings speakers, vendors, and other media professionals to Harvard to provide media staff with information on the latest equipment and techniques. In this meeting, studio operators across the University introduced their spaces, processes, and techniques to create a collaborative environment for collective learning.
Waxman, on behalf of the CHDS Media Hub, presented the Hub’s focal areas: People and Perspectives, where faculty and students share decision science ideas and topics; Content Prototypes, where faculty demonstrate innovative and experimental approaches to “push the limit” on pedagogy; Visualizing Complexity, where faculty illustrate drawing, mapping, and graphics to present complex concepts using visual applications; and Behind the Scenes, a peek into the process and preparation behind the Hub’s products.
